It's a good thing (?) that I don't have to do this, since the IM03/4 are way too huge to fit in my wife's small ears. Only a handful of multi-driver IEMs are minute enough to fit her. However, the W60 can, and she's in love with them.

Haha. So what do you do to placate your wife when you add to your collection? Do you have to get her more bags or shoes? My wife's growing shoe collection is a testament to my attempts to soothe her irritation at my buying yet another ear/headphone.

Fortunately she doesn't go crazy over bags or shoes and not much other either. That's also my problem

Fortunately I've got four children so there's always someone needing a headphone or IEM. My son is a gamer and he actually started to show some interest in headphones after I gave him my AD700's to use with his computer recently.......

   This is a sick hobby, you just cant explain it to everyone, and i think you already know that. So excuses are a must.

Totally agreed. I don't think there are people in the house I have not given headphones to ..... Lol. But just like any hobby, you can't just explain it . This one though, only because it is expensive ....lol. But what hobby can come cheap anyway ?

 Reading, shopping but you can explain that more or less, even photography is not this much expensive, you dont end up buying 20-30 cameras or even lances, one may have 3-4 cams and 6-7 lances at max, and you might explain that too, its productive, you capture memories what those things. But here its nothing like that and this audiophile things is extremely crowded!! earphones being released everyday means we are here to spend more in this hobby. And its tempting. Thanks to these hypes.

I agree, but you know there are hobby such as going to the casino, buy lottery, buying stuff to modify cars....etc...radio controlled stuff...still very expensive. So, be glad, the headphones is still a healthy hobby.

The one productive thing i experienced = my home stereo system, eventhough my wife keep telling me it doesnt change the sound...she cant hear the differences....another day we partied at a friend house....and on the way home she told me
