No the other way around.
Even if the IM50 is more coloured than IM70, and IM70 sounds more balanced, but from my experience with my recordings, IM50 sounds more engaging, more musical. While IM70 technically sounds better.

The difference is just a little refinement on IM70. They almost sound the same, frankly speaking. For that little different, IMHO IM50 is more value for money.
It's not about which one is better, both are great, but which suits our taste better.

Yes, the 50's are a great value for what you get. It's true, there isn't much of a difference between the 50's and the 70's.

CKR9's are very good phones. Nice bass, great mids and smooth highs. Unfortunately, I have it in the classifieds now, due to fit problems.

Yes, basically different topology. IM70 is push-push, while CKR9 is push-pull or isobaric topology.
Build quality seems better on CKR9, but I don't like to wear straight down like CKR9, especially for big size IEM like CKR9.  IM50 and IM70 are more comfortable for me.
When walking around with CKR9, I can feel the cable like pulling the earphone when the cable is swinging around.  Need cable clip for CKR9.

I've noticed a change in my IM50's. Bass is tighter, mids and highs have more separation and clarity. However cable is quite expensive.
