Perhap you want me to compare the 2 sources air 2 vs zx2 on 04 ? Lol ? There are no comparision. But all I am trying to say is that 04/03 is not terrible/horrible with iPad Air 2 and or iPhone 6. Like I said, the horrible one was my 4s to my 04....it was congested, muddy, and not even singing at 100% volume...

The end conclusion you will get from me is that....it would be ridiculous to pair 03/04 to your smartphones for music and listening experiences.....it is a waste. You can use it to get by just fine, but for quality ? A waste! And the only smartphone that I can not even stand to get by the 03/04'with was my old 4s....that was ridiculous!

 I disagree with you, they were dead boring with iPad Air 2. Now I am comparing them with IM70, have you tried listening to "Mad Max Fury" soundtrack with the IM70? It is like DTS sound in your ears and IM04 would be like mono sound of the 1970's and 1980's.
 
I am not comparing the sound of iPad Air 2 v zx2 but I was trying to say that IM04 is not suited to iPad Aiir 2 or iPhone 6s device at all. 
 
Both of the above devices are very capable devices, IM70 kicks some serious juice out of these devices where IM04 does not even come close. 
 
I will be auditioning a zx2 soon and hopefully hear what I am missing.

So guys I am considering getting either the ATH-IM02, IM03, or the Sony XBA-300 or XBA-A2 as my next big IEM purchase.  What are your thoughts on the matter, eveyrone?  What would be the pros-and-cons in terms of sound-sig, clarity, soundstage, etc. for each of them?

Is there a big sonic difference between the Isolation and Comfort Comply tips for the IM02? My stock tips are starting to fall apart, and the silicon tips won't seal for me under any circumstances.
 
Also, are there any other foam tips that anyone would recommend over the Complys?

Avoid Comply tips at all costs! Any audio technica iem I have heard is terrible with them.
Buy Sony hybrids. They are perfect for me.
