Thanks Ethan.
Just out of curiosity, if they do ship on the 10th, what are the approximate timings thereafter?

I should see them within 48 hours. They're being shipped next day TNT. Orders will start to be filled out as soon as they arrive.

Hopefully you enjoy it. Judging from your thoughts of the SM3 and SE535 it sounds like it may be something you would like but you get to find out for yourself in probably a little bit more than week.

I'm curious as well.

They sound nothing alike - the HE-5 LE sound like a super-charged Sennheiser (more detail and speed but nice and smooth and refined) and the DBA-02 sound like a good quality Grado (maybe HF-1 more than HF-2 or RS-2).

So I now face quite the dilemma. I decided to try to make my own pair of foam tips and put a Shure stem inside it. They sound pretty good but not sure how it does against triple flanges but I think they do sound a bit more open compared to the triple flanges.

They do stick out a bit more than the triple flanges since it's pretty much just the nozzle in my ear and the body sticking out so that annoying rubbing noise is gone. It's either the tip or the body as I'm sure it's not the cable now since I did get it even with the ear guide on. I'm not sure why I didn't notice it before but it is a bit annoying but probably minor for most people.

@slaters70: just wondering but do you happen to have any Etymotic triple flanges left? There's no way I'm getting ripped off paying what Etymotic wants for them and it may be the tip material but not sure.

Interesting, so the DBA-02 are more suitable for rock?

Also, when you say the DBA-02 are more like an HF-1 than an HF-2 or RS-2, do you mean to say that they don't sound that good?  (I'm assuming here that the HF-2 and RS-2 are more high-end than the HF-1)  I would have thought they they would be compared to something like the RS-1, judging by some comments that placed them on the level of $$$ earphones like the JH-13's and UE-10's.
