This one seems like a better version of the James Blake tune, and it does sound real good with the ASG-2's.
This song is one of the best to compare how bass is handled imho.

So I was following this thread and found the ASG-2 very intriguing. My current iem is the Sony EX-1000 which is single 16mm dynamic driver and I love it for offering excellent bass, huge sound stage and nice clarity using just 1 driver. I have been searching around for my next upgrade and it seems like the ASG-2's description of a 15mm dynamic driver with a pair of specialized BA as its tweeter is the perfect upgrade for my EX-1000. Is there anyone out there who has heard both EX-1000 and ASG-2's sound signatures and can kindly give me a brief comparison? If it is similar to EX-1000, I can then go ahead and put my money on ASG-2. Also where is the best place to buy ASG-2? I don't see it available on Aurisonics website (there are only ASG-1/s and AS-2). The only other place I can find ASG-2 is from Musica Acoustics. Is it a reliable place to buy from?

Unfortunately, I'm not in the States. I will have to deal with importing it or get from 3rd party online retailers which will most likely push up the cost for me.

Ask anyway for an authorised dealer. If you're not buying locally, there will always be extra charges to bring them in. My incoming H-200 and S2 both costed me slightly more than retail.

Ok, will do. Thanks. It really sounds like an excellent product which allows us to tune our own preferred bass level.

I see in the pictures that you have used Comply foam tips for the SD3 comparaison and silicone one for the ASG2. For me comply tips are altering the sound a lot, I have never used it for this reason, I prefer a bad fit at the end.
 
This can bias the result, did you have try the SD3 with silicon tips also ?

Is there any difference between the stealth and the clear frost? It is like $100 different.. Other than the color of course

SQ wise, there shouldn't be any difference, unless the stealth paint really bring out the high compared to the frosted?

Go for the upgrade, I demoed the ex-1000 right after I got my asg-2
Compared with the ie8, 4.ai, tsar,SE535, tf10 etc and the ASG-2 is easily a tier or, two higher than most of them...

who tier higher, ASG2 or EX1000? sorry not apparent from your post.
