I know Jeff Buckley has been mentioned, but it's The Grace EPs (no, I'm not talking about "Grace" the album) where the really amazing singing is.

I haven't gone through the whole thread, but Sara K has to be mentioned if not already.

Chungking's female vocalist, Jessie Banks.

Up to 3 days ago I'd never heard of Chungking or Jessie Banks, then I got a Nip/Tuck soundtrack CD with Following by Chungking on track #13. I probably listened to that song 5 times in a row. A beautiful voice and melodies that evoke 70's era soft rock/r&b combine for something special. At least it seems that way from one complete song and a bunch of samples.

I also like Enya and Belinda Carlisle. Robert Plant, Rob Halford, and Meat Loaf are my fav male vocalists.
