Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time  -  8/10

One of my favorite games of all time. I'm usually good at letting go of reality and just getting pulled into a movie but since I've followed this game for so long that was hard to do with this one. They left out a good bit of the important stuff which is to be expected in an adaptation but it still seemed to bug me at times. Overall a very good action/fantasy movie, 10/10 if it was based purely on action and excitement. I'll probably end up buying it.

I am trying to find Menace II Society after I learned about it from imdb. And I agree with those lines. Fishburne's speech was also tiresome.

So after being disappointed with Boyz N The Hood (even the title blows) I had to see Menace II Society according to some. Saw it tonight and it was loads better. Very hard and realistic (I guess). Going to rate it 8-.

Red Cliff, the 2 DVD set not the theatrical version. 71/2-10

Catfish 4/10  The trailer lies, don't see it.

Devil 7/10  Best M. Night movie since The Village, unless you didn't like The Village.  Could have been 8/10 if they had ended it correctly.  I believe the DVD will have the appropriate alternate ending.

Resident Evil 5/10 movie, 8/10 use of 3D cinematography.  Filmed w/ 3D in mind from the get go.

The Town  6.75/10  Some pretty good scenes and acting.  Formulaic plot from HEAT.  Plot holes larger than a man hole.

Not actually seen it, of course, but wading through Rottentomatoes' reviews of "The Last Airbender" is a particular joy. Enhanced, if you are British

If I might commend      http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2010/aug/12/the-last-airbender      to the House...?

Also useful for confirming which critics are really shameless shills, and namechecking Viz for foreigners.

6/10

It was sort of entertaining, and the actress was all sorts of "nomnomnomnomnom!" but overall rather shallow and cheesy.

I am wholly entertained by this description of the movie.

Also, I just watched Inception again, in the hopes that I might "get" it. It's still a 6.5/10 for me.

I saw "Cop Out" this weekend. If you don't want to think about anything and you want to laugh at locker room humor, this is a great movie. 6/10

Does anyone else find it kind of funny, that a couple of white people played the leads in friggin' Prince of Persia? I bet there was more bronzer on that set, than at a Mr. Olympia competition.

The Town - 8.5/10

The storyline is pretty much revealed in the trailer, I thought it was actually pretty well made nonetheless (especially how the mood in the entire movie was portrayed). Jeremy Renner (from the Hurt Locker) had an awesome performance, I liked Rebecca Hall equally as well. Could have had better character development especially for the main character and more emphasis/focus on charlestown itself.
