Theres very little difference between a lot of pop songs, not that most people would look at it that way. If people didnt lesten to the lyrics you'd hear instrumental music on the radio all the time, heck, even foreign music. Even beyond that, sometimes songs just become popular because of who its a single from - radio stations snap it up and play it until you like it. (an example would be Pinks "so what". It's very popular over here, but its a ****ing horrible song. it plays like a wannabe grunge track with a pop chorus thrown in the middle). |

I just don't the whole buzzing synthesizer and "crunk beats" ethic going on in the US. I also really don't care for the whole excessive swearing talking about "bitches and rims". I prefer hip hop that is more introspective or just fun to listen in the sense they talk about what they did that day(hung out with friends,impromptu rap battle,etc)instead of battling some guy with an AK.
