R5, a new Android DAP by Hiby

Issue note for Hiby R5 and USB Audio Player Pro app with direct hires driver:

Playing in both offline files and Tidal Hifi in UAPP app will cause "tick" sound after playing for a while. Not sure it should be marked as UAAP app issue or Hiby R5 issue but anyway just let you guys know.
Is that a tick sound while playing or after pausing?

While playing. To reset, need to pull out 4.4mm jack and push in again... But can't be last long and will sound "tick .. tick .. tick" again... Only UAPP app seems to have this annoying sound. Other apps show no problem to me so far.

Anyway if you are the one from Hiby, please try UAPP app and use direct hires driver. You can feel the problem and tell UAPP how to fix it in thier next updated. Many thanks.

From your facebook: https://imgur.com/a/Sf71y2F

It was on the website before, but seems to have been taken down
HQ is on the case and changing the rendering on that one ad. It's probably a mistake in rendering from back when the thing was still a mockup that doesn't light up?

Also using Neutron app with extreme quality, like using 64bit processing + audiophile quality give me enormously enjoyable sound from 4.4mm balanced jack, impressived but... battery last for around 4 hours from 100% which is understandable. Use the DAP as hard as you can to get the best out of it!

Wow I'm running neutron with the highest settings and using balanced and high gain and my battery life is way longer than 4 hours. You have the screen on all the time?

I'll have to do a run down test but I'm estimating about 9 hours with those parameters.

No I close the screen. Neutron is the best app to pull any android dap into its maximum limitation so I think our setup should be different in some ways but I can except very short peroid of time for neutron :D. Anyway using with other apps seem to last for much longer time.

I have the highest settings on neutron across the board. You should be getting more than 4 hours.

Now I see our different. Very strange. My CPU is 64bit not 32bit. That's why. The hardware of Hiby R5 not the same in all area?

It's the neon version since snapdragon has neon support. Doesn't matter if your using the generic 64 bit driver, battery life is about the same, I've used them both.

I dont complain too much but hiby or dhl put in my name all wrong on the package shipment info. Hopefully the dhl guy will be okay with it since my name isnt "right." Plus, they sent it to a random DHL mail depot and not my house, so they will probably check ID. I tried to intercept it and had it delivered to an alternate address (my address...) but we'll see what happens on Monday.
