Attempted download and unlike previous downloads it is a RAR file, not a zip.  Unable to access the upgrade file (FW) by double clicking.  Will I have to download a zip program?? to open this RAR file.  If so any recommendations without the $$ or freeware attached.  Thank You.

I would recommend to Google free RAR utilities for your OS.

WinRAR5.40 free trial.  Been using the paid version 15 years or so.

I'm a newcomer in this thread. Just bought a used QP1R on Ebay.de, very likely from a fellow head-fier. I immediately installed the latest FW 1.08 and was immediately frustated about its inability to recognize any files via Songs category. After using the Eject For Windows tool (used a lot with my wife's Fiio X5 II to eliminate hidden files) the problem disappeared. My first impressions reflect what I've mostly known about it, namely excellent sound quality and unusable scroll wheel.
 
I have a question. Is there something like silicon case in the market? If not, where is it possible to order a leather case in the EU, preferably in Germany? So far I've found only this option in the UK: http://www.audiosanctuary.co.uk/questyle-qp1r-case-black.html
One more question. Does exist a manufaturer's accepted scroll wheel sticker solution?

The grey case matches perfectly with the silver set (I have this combination), and looks nicer than the black leather case I feel.

The brown one matches better with the gold set.

Thank you guys for advice. Yesterday I found a grey option on Amazon.co.uk, but then I found on Amazon.de the same leather case in black that suits better to my golden DAP. Besides it was cheaper because of free delivery and I hope to receive it sooner than in the case of shipping from the UK.

Some peeps have had difficulty running the upgrades but that seems to be system dependent. Not the card or whatever hardware you use. Here's hoping you, like most of us, will have no issues.

My QP1R time after time skips tracks refusing to play them on shuffle mode. When I play these tracks via Artist category there are no playback issues. Has anybody experienced the same problem? Is there a solution?
