That time I used my custom silicon tips in - technically saying, the seal was similar to CEIM.

Got a qdc 2pin to ciem 2pin adapter off taobao, and it works nicely. I dont really have any regular 2pin cables (yet), but this also allows me to try some more cables w/o worry about damaging the connector. They do look a bit silly, and probably works better on cables w/o earhooks.

oh the adapter also flip the polarity for you... so thats kinda nice

Any of you in the UK know a decent place to get your hands on the upper-tier qdc IEMs? Looking the 8-series, Gemini or Anole VX. Unfortunately only stockists seem to be American. I'll get slapped with VAT 20% and import duty, which on an item that expensive will be high.

I’m from the UK and I’ve accepted that I’ll have to wait until I have the chance to visit Asia, or see if there are any good used deals here to pick up a pair. I’ll be in Japan in December to demo, return ticket was £320 so that’s already a lot less than import taxes would be.

E-earphone is the largest shop by far. Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya,etc. They don't seem to have a used pair of VX on stock at this time. https://www.e-earphone.jp/shopbrand/ct3172/
Be reminded QDC is not the most sought after IEM yet in Japam though certainly picked up last 3 years or so.
