 You aren't getting any of the Full impact or range with only the power out of your iPhone. To me they sounded anemic through my iPhone 6.  You are aware Puro has their own free EQ App for your iPhone? Go to their website www.purosound.com  I'm convinced they intentionally made these phones hard to drive so they couldn't be brought up to dangerous sound levels with ordinary equipment. "Safe Sound" is kind of their thing.

Bust 1W or more through those Bad boys and you will see what I mean. Uhm....  Hear what I mean. :D

I did not know about the eq app. Thanks Twin. I really have no problem with them when using the v2 with the puro. Just straight out of the iPhone even then, it's a hell of a deal. The v2 has 1w power and a dark signature so to me, I can't think of a better pairing for it. The Geek wave should be similar .850 w . When it finally arrives the puro will be happy with that as well. I've left the v2 in .100 w mode and it's a vast improvement over the phone jack.
On a side note Go Redwings! I spent a couple years in Lansing 86-87

I love full Bass I won't lie. (big Butts too) I have no problem with it in the Puros. I agree on some recordings, especially Trance, ( I know you prefer Classical), it can be borderline overwhelming but in an overall perspective Yangi, it is fairly well balanced, IMHO. Not to the Degree of the Tittas or Havis, but they still dwell in that "Audiophile Type" EQ range. I definitely wouldn't call them "V" shaped. I personally am not detecting ANY harshness with the Treble, and I'm quite treble sensitive. The only answer I can surmise is there ARE production differences, or the fact that mine may have significantly more hours on them than the rest of yours. I'm somewhere near 400 Hours, Burn In + Listening time total.

The 'phones I DO have a problem with Peaking and Harshness are the Macaw RT10's. Sometimes the treble makes me wince. They have +200 Hrs. on them and the treble has not changed since my first initial listen, it may in fact have gotten sharper. The Bass has appeared to have tamed and gotten tighter however, I think it makes the Treble stand out even more. It's a shame because other than my issues with the treble and a little bit of recession in the mids, they are a nice pair of earphones for the money.

Unfortunately they are destined to remain in their box, which actually is quite nice, in my drawer.

I am breaking in a pair of maxaw gt100s right now. Using the gold filter on those it is very neutral - I think you would really like them, No peaky treble to my ears, not sure how they compare to the rt10.

I kind of see what you mean. Though they don't really have too much subbass IMO. It more gives me the feeling that the subbass is an empty bottomless abyss (which I totally love) instead of most headphones, whose subbass is just a really deep cavern. That is also what makes the soundstage so massive I think.

Sounds like the A2 is a more conventional consumer sound sig with a little more clarity. The specs though look excellent for the price

I found out. That's the reason of source. What source do you pair with Puro. I found on a DAC I bought from Taobao, A2 sound obvious better than Puro. It's amazing that Puro with NX1 to Nexus 7 to play with Neutron, amazing sound! Really funny!

I'M very interested in the Macaw gt's, when I had heard Twins remarks on the Macaw rt's ( thought they had the same drivers etc but different case enhancement "red") I was pretty bummed, so looking forward to what you think of them.
On topic now, I haven't noticed any apprecable "burn in" changes in the Puro's. Not complaining mind you as I enjoy them as they are ( anout 4o hours) but wonder if there's a sweet spot up ahead for me?

It seems I understand why you didn't think Puro shine on N6. Yes. Puro never shine on any my true DAC!! But from Nexus/smart phone with Neutron (I didn't test other players), no matter amplified by E12 or NX1, Puro sounds amazing! Really gorgeous!

Yes, I think the n6 is too honest for the puros.

Huh, that's quite interesting haha :) I have to build a larger source arsenal, only a Mbp and s5, going to get fiio x1 in the future though

Read that thread. You'll never go wrong! Great DSP. BTW, it does not pair Puro well. It's not a cell phone. lol

I have ZERO problem with the Puros connected to a Fiio X3ii coupled to a Fiio E12. They sound Fantastic on this combo. In fact MOST earphones do.

Well onto Important stuff....

After 200 Hours burn in I have Changed my Mind about the CAROT ONE TITTAS.

They are not Good.

THEY ARE FRIGGING SUPERB!!!!!

More neutral, flatter, sensitive, and Yes, Audiophile EQ'd than even the Puros. NOTE:  Some of you who enjoy exaggerated frequencies may require additional EQing.

I now have a Backup pair on the way.

The rest is up to You. You can learn to live in peace and cooperation with the other Titta owners, or your Planet will be reduced to a burned-out cinder.

Ah " Cinder boy" you almost had me ordering a set of "Tittas" imediately, right up till ypu threatend my planet! Now just to show some resistance, moral character, intestinal fortitude I'll wait a few hours order a set ( only as a blind mind you) jnfiltrate your organization and save my world for the Puro at heart! So take that! ( maybe I shouldn't have mentioned my plan?)

If there is one caveat to the Puro's it's that they do like power and the more power the better. I typically run the with my Fiio X3ii bar when running around and they're fine (okbett than fine) but I do run the with an amp in those quiet times in the wee hours of the morning.

TWIN, still lurking here after the price reduction.

Do you think a FIIO A3 amp would be OK for the IEM500s for the gym ?

270 mWatts at 32 ohms...which I'm guessing is per channnel....

Twin, could you give a full review of those you recommended? It has little help for such statement! Thank you!
