Thanks for this. I’d never heard of these guys but this is right up my alley, great stuff.

I’m checking out their discography and also very much liking their other releases as well.

Leap of Faith (2021) by Derev - I've listened to this fairly short album (36 min) twenty two times since discovering it on February 1st, I just can't get enough of it. It's kind of prog-metal/rock with a twist of Armenian and a Kuwaiti garnish, although they are based in Canada. The music is powerful but melodic and the vocals remind me of Joel Ekelof of Soen, which is no bad thing.

Great rec. With the new economic order I can even buy Canadian. 😝

I’m going to give this one another thumbs up- it’s good stuff. I think it will be a while before I’ve heard it as many times as @rids57 but we can try. I’m looking forward to hearing more from this group.

Strange Destinations (2023) by The View Inside - This is what happens when a couple of very talented Frenchmen put their musical heads together. This is crossover prog from the rockier end of the gene pool, Ludovic Briand knocks it out of the park on both guitar and vocals. This is the second in a series of concept albums about someone called Walter, it's available on Qobuz and probably all the other streamers too but the first one isn't there, so I need to go Bandcamp diving.

Only one track in so far, but I'm digging this. Great production value, too.
This guitarist is one of my favorites and I’ve posted many of their releases here on this thread (some under different names) but if you’d like to shortcut the search and get to the meat of it go here-
