I see. Well, I completely forgot to factor in all of the accessories. I suppose my budget will have to stretch a bit then. Oh well, I guess. More research will have to come during the next month or two of earning the money. Thanks for the help, both of you.

Amen. I get all giddy when I get an email notification to a post in this thread thinking someone actually posted a photo (or something related to the photos in the thread). We need a "talk about photography thread". Hell, lately, it looks like we need a whole sub forum.

Really a beautiful place btw, I was very impressed.

Is that Berkeley? I love guessing games.

Flamerz, get a used, low end camera like the D50 or Rebel XT. It won't matter a bit. Buy the one you like best. You've already read Understanding Exposure, keep reading more. You'll be way ahead of the curve!
Check craiglist and the "for sale" forum at POTN for Canon. I've seen stuff there go for peanuts.

A lot of these shots are really, really old. I'm sitting here patiently waiting for the snow to go away and macro season to come around once again.

I take lots of walks/runs....but I gotta admit, I've never been anywhere on Earth that that's vivid!!

Good ephemeral type feeling to it.

You got me about the first photo Contrastique....what is it??

I'm guessing some sort of glass in front of a photo of a house (because of that solid reflection). Is it somewhere on this Earth?
