Some pics from my recent trip to the Adirondacks.

Tried to replicate the "Peter Hurley look" in a headshot with softboxes in a horizontal clamshell configuration and a bottom reflector. I don't think I quite got the dimensionality he gets with his Kino-Flo setup, but it wasn't too shabby an effort...

Guess you're right, thanks. I've only ever seen these in their dark brown inner shells, so I didn't recognize them in the picture.

Yep, they're the same. The only difference is that the darker shelled nuts are more mature. The green form is better for chopping and drinking. The best part is splitting it open and using the husk as a spoon to scrape out the "meat"

As for drinking the stuff, while nothing beats how refreshing it is when you drink it fresh, there are lots of other ways to drink it. One of them is to put the juice and meat in a blender, pour in full cream buffalo milk, blend and pour over shaved ice. Sometimes we add a shot of concentrated black (Oolong) tea and a bit of lemongrass.

I got to shot some shooting stars today. (Yep, I could have phrased that better)

Oh and I tried to get a good picture of the milkyway but...light pollution :/
I turned the details down a bit so that the milkyway is a bit easier to see.
Really need to find a better spot to take these kinds of pictures.
