Wow. I bought a D200 in 2006 and a D800 in 2012. Before that I had an FE and have used a Canon P for several years. Lenses I really go for, though. Lots of great lenses for decent prices here in Japan and most can be tested before plunking down 40$ for a new one. Just picked up a Nikon 50/1,4 AiS for about 55$.

a reverse macro also does the trick .. this is with a reversed 55-300mm

If you ever get a chance to visit a teaching hospital for ophthalmology they will have maybe a Zeiss Photo Slit-lamp. A 70K camera set up that takes photos in 3d like you posted. They are fun to play with.

Hey there, I've been to vacation in Italy and I made some nice shots. I don't think it will impress most of you since it was taken with a cheap camera but the macro shots are very good. I love macro.

Does anyone have anything to say or some tips? I have made many more photo's but I don't want to bore you guys if they aren't very good.

This one was scary and I didn't dare to go any closer.

It's really hard to capture the beauty of this place:

This shot was a great succes!

These things were huge! About 9cm I think.

Can we also mention the gear used to take the shots? I've recently been dabbling with the Galaxy S3 camera, and I'm considering buying a proper setup. Cheers.

You can find add-ons for most browsers to view the EXIF data. Some of them may only work with the original sized pictures though (click on picture, then click "Original" button at lower right).

That said, my recent "watering roses" shots were taken with a Sony RX100.

Decided to go all out with my macro rig. Focus seems to be a little off.

That's an eyelash on a needle.

Sony DSC-RX100
Am I the only one in here using a compact camera?
