Thanks MOTO, but still not up there with GTRs or that first of raymond (I'm a bit allergic towards the cozy family thing of the latter three I'm afraid, but still great

I like the original 100 times better, although if it were me I would do a few slight edits to the original to simply fill the dynamic range.

Interesting, as I personally much prefer the edited.

The edited picture is nicer, especially, I think, when you've got it inside a photo album, all the things that make it seem a bit 'too much' on the computer screen will make it really pop off the printed page.

On a MBP it's especially annoying. The original doesn't really need that much work really, just a touch underexposed.

I like the original better too. The edited feels a little blown out, over contrasted, and over saturated. I think the original just needed to have the exposure brought up a bit and saturation increased slightly/white balance warmed up a tad; the composition is great though.
