Nice vinyette. Our friends have done something like that with their pool view. The trees bend up along the edges and frame the pool view. You see it with wood work painted gold in Indian movies as they pan into a living room.
It always reminds me of shadow boxes which we used to make as kids. Only with one angle of perspective could the magic start to happen and tell the story. As each element needed to be placed in the correct size, order and context.
I think much of the time we are too focused on the subject to try and frame the sides, or incorporate the side view in order to enhance the subject. I like finally seeing the texture in the clouds and then your mind wanders to the darker foreground, much like the wonder of experiencing the view in real life. Maybe better?
It' been a while, nice to see this thread still going stong

My guess is something like a Fuji X pro1? dunno.. they seem to have Fuji contrast traits. Anyone else? Without cheating? They are very nice but you can tell by the saturated whites and overblown colors they aren't top notch. Soz bud - but they great shots none the less
And then I went back and clicked onto the pic to get a better look. It took me to his/hers flickr page. And I was right hahaha I don't care if anyone believes me.. !! True!
I used to read the Exif data with a Firefox plug in. It will tell what camera, the date, and WB/ exposure stuff.
Here is a site that may work as long as the photographer did not remove the Exif data from the file.
