POST YOUR FAV TEST TRACK(S)!

This is really opening my collection up to so much more than what I have now. I enjoy any genre, and I primarily switched to trance & progressive (which for as long as I live, I'd never regret) because IMO, 99% of lyrics today are absolute trash! I grew up around rap/hip-hop, and cannot tell you how much I absolutely cringe at the mere mention of it now! While lyrics for trance (especially techno) tracks are no exception to the rule, progressive tends to focus primarily on the music itself, and only but a few of my porgressive tracks have vocals. Nonetheless, as a vocalist myself, I appreciate any trained, proessional voice. Keep suggesting whatever genre it is you all enjoy listening to, as I'm having a blast listening to anything in my 900's!

As much rock, pop, electronic, and rap that I have in my collection, what I use to test for BASS may come as a surprise: Billie Jean by Michael Jackson. I don't know why, but it seems the bass in this song has layers, depth, and details that I can't find in most of my other music. The recording seems to be very well done (MJ's #1's cd), I'm not sure how if it's been remastered since Thriller or not.

That said, I generally like to listen to a few tracks from each of my favorite artists (The Killers, Smashing Pumpkins, the Cranberries, Eminem and many others) to find out if I really like a headphone or not. My .02

Just heard the FLAC version of the following, a classic that any trance fan is familiar with. I don't listen to dubstep because as much of a bass-head as I am, I don't like when it's overwhelming or too overpowering. The bass on my 900's is enough to send chills down my spine!

I created two burn-in tracks tonight, which I'll be using from now on, I combined TV static which extends up to 23kHz without any roll-off (I think it should extend higher, it's just my sound-card not letting it), along with some UHF sweeps that should extend up to 30kHz, depending on your sound-card and so on, the format is .WAV, it's 16 bit, 48kHz, 1536 kbps.

I also made an MP3 version, this one extrends up to 20kHz.

Iron & Wine - 16, Maybe Less
Adele - Rolling in the Deep

I love Shpongle to test headphones, because it's very complex and there's so much inner detail to be found.
This is one of their faster tracks where you can really easily tell the difference between mid-fi and hi-fi gear. (but not on a youtube vid ofcourse, listen to it in lossless.)

@Tablo It has decent bass, at least from the stuff available in my collection.

I better say this ahead of the embedded clip, not after: i viewed this thread and my sense of humor kicked in; it's a joke.  Especially if you know what the clip is, you will not press play unless your volume is down.  Even then, it's obnoxious.

That said, this is what I thought of while reading about "test tracks" with some frequent emphasis on bass.
