How can you not want to use one of the Magic Knives? Who doesn't want to cut through steel with a kitchen knife???!?

My personal favorite was the Ronco Pocket Fisherman.

Agreed. I thought that would be the best fishing pole in history from watching those ads.

Yeah, but Ronco never could hold a candle to Wyle E. Coyote's Acme Burmese tiger trap kit:

...or his TNT City fireworks collection:

Asking Head-Fier's which 37" flat TV to get is like asking the D.O.T. to name their favorite highway

This is my higher end listening set-up. It also happens to be my bedside set-up. The amp is Headroom Desktop with a
2006 Max module and a Desktop power supply (the DPS is on the floor below the night table).

This is closeup of the headphones on their stands.

This is second listening area which is at my computer. The headphone amp is on the left hand side of the third shelf up
and is also a Headroom Desktop amp but with the older Desktop module, a Desktop DAC and no DPS.

This is closeup of just the audio equipment.

These are the speakers which that big Aragon amp in the picture above provides power for. They sit along the wall 90
degrees from where my computer and the audio rack are located. I do most of listening through the speakers but do use
headphones when it's late or I'm watching a movie on my computer.

Dude, aren't those speakers the Energy Reference 22 Connoiseurs from around 1988? Those are some seriously rare loudspeakers with incredible sound. When I went to purchase my first pseudo hifi rig back in 1989, I heard them and also a pair of Infinity Kappa 9 and if it were not for the slamming wave launch type of bass that the Kappas had, I would have pulled the trigger for the Reference 22s. Nice speakers.

I'm just about finished moving into my new room. There are still some boxes laying around, but it's mostly setup. Enjoy.

I'll bet that's an HDTV.

Yep. It's a Westinghouse LVM-37W3. It's a 1080p 37" monitor with 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 2 Component, blah blah blah. The really nice thing, though, is that there is NO overscan, so it works extremely well as a computer monitor.

Glad to see you are enjoying your headphone stand.

And so, you are going to MIT... Wow. Good luck with that, I'm sure it will keep you somewhat busy.
