The S12 2024 is one of my favorite IEMs, let alone planars. I've gotten a couple units marked down for around $150. My favorite aspects to the sound are the bass impact and amazing soundstage/separation.
Can you share any links of deals like that if they are still around? Andy of DongleMadness fame rated them very highly.

Must say I do like the sound of my OG S12s. They do have the advantage of being more comfortable than my other planars, Hidizs MP143 Salt.

So, Letshuoer brand on Amazon often offers coupons that are applicable to any of their products. They'll offer a 20% off coupon that can be applied to the s12 2024, Cadenza 4, S08, etc. It appears the S12 2024 is currently out of stock on Amazon, but they should be getting more in a week or two, hopefully. I regularly see that 20% coupon available. So, you'd spend $160 and sometimes they offer a sale on top of that. I can't recommend the s12 2024 enough. I bought 3 units 😄

I really wonder if someone will come up with a proper planar TWS at some point. Is that even feasible? I've been spoiled by the simplicity of Moondrop's space travels/golden ages and as much as I love my OG timeless with the epro tips (very close to neutral), it's hard to justify wearing a wire all the time. The golden ages are great all-rounder but they still miss the oomph/dynamics of dual sided magnet planars. They remind of the bad Hifiman fullsize planars, not bad but a bit lifeless. In the end the $25 space travels have become my daily drivers these days lol.

In my opinion, Edifier has succeeded...

I now have the Edifier Stax Spirit S10 in my collection. These are planar TWS. I use the aptx lossless codec and bluetooth in version 5.4 to connect What an exquisite sound. I also have a B&W Pi8 in my collection, and now I don't know which ones are better. But I spend more time with the S10 than with the Pi8.

Glad that you like it.
But I've sent S10 back to the seller the next day I've got them.
The sound out of the box was kinda meh. ANC doesn't do much. The App didn't work. The seller told me later I need a chinese version of App...
I like Golden Ages more. Especially because of their price.

Everything is clear. You've been given an unofficial version. I bought my headphones at the official Edifier store. The official version is managed by the ConneX app. And your unofficial version is managed by the Connect app. At the time of purchase, I already knew that there are two versions of these headphones. That's why I checked this point in the store. One version is official, and the second version is fake. The sellers of this low-quality product claim that this is the Chinese version. But the seller from the official Edifier store explained to me that the fake does not have the same sound as in the official version. Since the unofficial version has the old Connect software installed, and there are no functions that are available in the official version with ConneX software. From them, only the body looks similar. And apparently it may be there are different electronics inside. I wouldn't be surprised if some kind of dynamic driver could have been installed in the fake.

It's interesting... I've never heard about that. My main source of information were early youtube reviews of S10 that were made like 4 months ago.
My S10 could have been some early version for chinese market. But I'm pretty sure they were not fake. Why would someone make fake Edifiers?
Maybe I will try to buy S10 again. But only after listening that time.

How does the bass sound on these? Do they have a lot of heft/impact like traditional planar IEMs? IMO that's where the golden ages show their limits.

These headphones have a lot of conflicting reviews. I'll tell you my experience. The Edifier Stax Spirit S10 is extremely demanding of the source. And to the files themselves. They just can't stand bad records. More precisely, because of their crazy resolution, they will bring all the dirt from the sound to the surface. No any old smartphone is not suitable for them. From my own experience, they only need a smartphone with a last bluetooth codec version 5.4 and the availability of Aptx Lossless. Then they will give the sound that I hear in them now. If you use lower versions of bluetooth, and codecs such as LDAC or LHDC, then you can have sound options such as the absence of bass, or the presence of sawing and harsh treble frequencies, or other distortions. I have a Vivo Iqoo Neo 10 smartphone, and the sound is crystal clear with this smartphone. Without any distortion or artifacts. At the same time, the bass in them is no worse than in my Bowers & Wilkins Pi8, this is an absolute truth proven by my own experience.

Hello i was think about somewhat recreate sound type of sennheiser hd 800 or hifiman he 1000 se. Do you know it and can planar iem sound like it? In colour and tone, space and air. I even think about etymotic er 4 sr minus space. Or shanling mg 600, 800?
