Agreed that it is AF. Based on my 100R which I imagine uses the same Music App there is a toggle for Album Artwork in the app's Settings menu. Make sure it's disabled.

for people who ordered from amazon jp, did it come in an unpadded envelope?

Nope. Mine arrived in a nicely packed box, with packing paper. Very, very nice packing job.

I'm pretty sure DHL opened it then. they sent it to the wrong location, across the country. and then it got lost for a few days. and then it showed up in a partially ripped envelope and no packing.

Mine was in a box with lots of packing paper.  Very solid packing.

This thing sure takes a while to full up with 400+ GB

Okay, so I wrote to Onkyo FB page regarding which DAC is used by 3rd party apps and plans for future implementation of USB DAC funcionality, here's the response

Which one, who knows.
So 3 things that I figured out from this message:
1. there won't be any USB DAC funcionality in the future
2. stock player is the way to go
3. Onkyo/Pioneer's support sucks

Now I am not really certain about replacing my X7 with it

Mine was repacked by DHL and not in the typical amazon packaging (shipped to Toronto). Just a piece of cardboard with plastic wrap. Pretty sure mine was partially opened too but no problems with it so far.
