Another incredible pair of BANGERS added! The mid-fi lineup nowadays is getting very competitive against what used to be $500+ sets.
For the past 2 years my benchmark has been the Tea 2 to see what stays and what goes. The Tea 2 still retails for $350 in major retailers ($200 in some AliExpress sellers). The 2 pictured here and the Fan2 I recently received are more than $100 and $200 less than the Tea. However the vocal clarity they provide is better than the Tea. The Tea has stronger and better bass than them all, and the strongest aspect of the Tea in the price range is the stage! It takes a kilobuck EST set to beat the Tea in soundstage. But all these newer budget friendly IEMs are offering such amazing technicalities for the price nowadays.
Ha, me too.
I just took this picture this morning of my 1Z and the ZX300 I just found for a bargain. My 1Z stays at home, and the A306 I got in January in Japan is for work using Bluetooth. I found the small size of the A306 very convenient and want to use it more, but I'm not fond of the 3.5mm sound so got the ZX300 a couple of days ago.
I keep questioning myself, do I need 3 daps?
Minimalist me: no
HeadFi me: DEFINITELY
