I'm so confused by the optical illusions here lol. I figured out the cable is chonky and goes from blue on the IEMs to grey and connects to the DAP. But what is the other connection on the DAP?

This is not illusion. It has two connectors

I believe the second plug grounds the cable shielding, presumably they do it that way for devices that don’t have a ground connected on the 4.4mm.

I read the AliE link and it said it was so you had both a 3.5mm and a 4.4mm on same cable for convenience and I wondered why the OP was using them at same time
