Ok, I liked your post because of the RS2. But I'm scratching my a$$ wondering why anybody would run a NOS DAP as a transport!

🤣 love the energy, instant like for the gear! Potatoe Potatoe I guess, might really enjoy the Mojo from that setup 😉. Dude’s got taste - similar to how you’ll see some throw money at a DAC and run it through a tube amp (a sensitive topic), but tube’s have a cult following. Arguably the best thing to do if you like the signature of one part of the chain is to either match it or find something that won’t interfere with it. YMMV.

Simple. RS2 fulfilled several criteria when I was transport shopping; namely dual card slots, coaxial output and ability to function as a decent DAP in the event Mojo 2 ran out of battery or when I travel light

I intend to use bring just the RS2 and an IEM for my upcoming Japan trip

I love tube amps! Owned the Continental portable tube amp with the ipod wolfson DIY-mod years ago

Am using a hybrid preamp and 300B power amp for my speaker setup, though the DAC is neutralish Bricasti M1

Love the tube musicality and I personally find reference sound boring. YMMV

I like my source to be neutral with the flavouring coming from the amplification and transducer. The musicality and dimensionality of tubes is to die for

It's been a long while since I last pulled out the C9. It still sounds oh so impressive.

yessir...the BA300 is the tube amp that many people overlook but is a workhorse, sounds amazing and is 100% AFFORDABLE.
Totally agreed!
