I'm building a DSD and MQA focused rig designed around one of my all time favorite headphones, the very spicy, controversial Sendy Peacock. This is the rough draft, to which I will soon add a very nice silver headphone cable and a very special USB cable (one of the only fancy high end USB cables you can get with USB A female on one end and USB C on the other, which is what I need.)
I can already tell the Peacock benefits enormously from the Finale's Xbass, which is more powerful than my Go Bar's Xbass. It's not excessive at all with the Peacock, it is so necessary. I always said, the Peacock has perfectly good bass (as in the character and quality level of its bass) but there just wasn't enough of it to fully enjoy it, it was too quiet.
The source (that's an Xduoo X10 Tii) already sounds pretty pristine coming through optical, though probably not as pure as with my Hugo 2 due to Chord DACs' particular affinity for optical. But the sound will take a big jump forward once I switch from the Peacock's basic stock cable to my very revealing, detailed silver one.
Step one to enjoying iFi's Micro iDSD dac/amps: remove all trace of that ghastly Hi Res audio sticker, and instead place upon it a manly barbarian.

Oh yeah, the Peacock is about 100 times more pretty than a headphone needs to be. Believe me, that picture doesn't even convey the full glory. Those Sendy's are gorgeous Thie Legacy 3's sound so sweet on the BTR3K

This is the rough draft of the rig. Currently I'm listening to pcm via optical, as I already have a nice optical source which I normally use with a Chord DAC (as one should). But with an iFi dac/amp, probably the best possible source will be with high end USB rather than optical. I've discovered apparently there are legit DSD 512 recordings you can download these days, so I'll be eager to check that out once I get my fancy USB cable, in addition to Tidal with its MQA.DSD output through optical?
