Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)

Right now I'm having a hard time putting down the Fir VxV. I want to try other IEMs on the RS6, but I keep reaching for the Fir because it transforms when paired. I have the DX240 which technically has more power. On the 240 they sound great, but on the RS6 they sound "damn 😳". The RS6 opens up the soundstage and makes the mids so clear and crisp. All this, combined with the fact that the VxV are so comfortable compared to other bulbous top-tier IEMs, makes me want to reach only for them at the moment.
Also, it's incredible what Fir did with the tuning. I find it amazing that the sound quality and clarity of a 1DD-4BA can get extremely close to something like the Mest. The Mest still edges out on the highs because of the EST's, but the VxV comes very close, and yet seems to have better soundstage, to my ear at least.

Oh man, that's like Disco Status right there :beerchug: I've always thought the most fun thing to experiment/work with in photography is light even the slightest change can make a major difference in shots:wink:

Oh I'm obsessed with the VxV right now. I keep reaching for them over everything else. The sound quality is near the best ones I have like the Mest and Starlight, but the comfort just makes them stand out more. They might not have the sparkle of an EST, but the soundstage and everything else makes them so great. I can't believe this 1DD-4BA can sound so amazing.
I can see they are your main as well?

I love the Queen, just a really great sounding IEM.
Yeah Rich, I went through quite a few during this era of TFZ releases. The Queen's as you say just sound really good and my other is the original single driver Secret Garden's  The most surprising thing for me with my Garden's is they have a 12mm and my preferred single DD has always been a 10mm, at least by what I've found over a dozen years now:thinking: I started making notes for myself years ago with a Best Sounding rig category, very important for those over 65:rolling_eyes: The Secret Garden's sound too sweet with my M1 and my M3s Jazz amp combo:v:

It's such a shame that tube amp seems impossible to get now? But as a consolation, I'm waiting to receive an Aune B1s in the next few days. Can't wait to compare it to the Little Bear.

Yeah @AlexxxAA85, you can't buy them new anymore but maybe you can find one second hand  I've never heard the Bear but read a lot of good review of it. I'd also like to ty the ALO Continental which is not available anymore either:slight_frown:
