if someone told me I could join a site about one topic, that everything related somehow gets more expensive, i would never have believed it would be possible, yet alone this expensive.

But now, it seems kind of obvious if their is something cheap and useful, someone on head-fi will find a reason to spend more on it. Thanks, but this makes me so happy to be out of this game. Tera Player will save me much on portable amps and size :)

I guess you misread what I wrote... I didn't went for those because they were more expensive, and I really wish they weren't, but I couldn't find the sizes I was looking for in the cheaper ones...

Didnt think you did want more expensive. it just seems to get what you want on Head-Fi it's somehow gonna cost more than expected in most cases. It's a necessary evil though, for the most part. It's the Head0fi motto right? Sorry for your wallet

I loath two things about the stock cable of the HD598's

A: The Length
B: The Jack

However I got another cable that was shortened and terminated in a 3.5mm jack much easier to get around with (even if it's just at home).. Too bad I wasn't confident enough to do it myself and save some $$$

I kept the original in the event I want to plug into a desktop amp etc

Agree with that. On the go I would rather have 4 ft or so. At home 10 is better given desktop amp and favorite chair distance.

2nd go pics should work now :)

Speaking of which here is my newly completed RIG

Player: SanDisk ClipZip (Rockboxed)
Amp: Fiio 6
Headphones: HD598 (with 50cm cable not shown)
IEM: UE700 (my go to) UE TF10's (Can't stand the fit love the sound but I'm saving them for a re-shell)

That's a nifty-looking cable connecting your Zip to your E6.
