How would you say the E11 improves the audio of the HD 25's?

well I've had the e11 and HD25's for about 5 hours haha. they are both brand new and not burned in yet and i only have about 1hr of listening done so far, but i will do my best :) ive also never listened to any other amps. but in saying this, the difference between amp and no amp is really significant! i feel it does need the '1' setting for the bass boost as it gives it a lot more depth, however the '2' setting introduces a little distortion. The Impedance setting also makes a great deal of difference, when set on high, i feel the sound is a lot more controlled and smoother.

Honestly, now that i have listened with an amp, i never want to listen without one again haha

out of curiosity, what is that white stuff wrapped around the joystick on your dualshock?

its some rubber I found lying around my house, it stops the jotstick from slowly wearing down the plastic around the joysticks. i think they are from some nokia headphones I had ages ago

Sir, I'm planning to take this route too... Since I'm a newbie, I just want to know why you chose to pair the Fiio E11 & Sennheiser HD25 with the iP4s? Are you satisfied with the SQ?

Hey man, yer i was in the exact same position as you, i was going to buy a $300 headstage, but i thought I'd keep it simple and I tell you what, I'm DEFINITELY not disappointed, it sounds really good. and also i stuck to HD25 as it had the best reviews IMO, it is the best headphone <$300 and it is magnificent as well. :)
