Hey guys, can I join?

Cowon X7 160gb w. original hardcase -> Cardas starquad mini-to-mini (work in progress) -> Just Audio µHA-120 -> Mogami 2893 sleeved in this -> Ultrasone Pro 900 with my comfort mod. Keeps me sane at the office (or at least keeps my insanity from getting any worse).

wow looks sexy... nice white and silver balance. have always loved the look of ultrasones, very industrial/metallic?

Ultra Cheap/Ultra Portable walking to work setup.

Shuffle -> E6 -> MEElec M6s

GSully  -  Does the E6 make a big difference in that set up. I've a Clip+ with M6s, and find the M6's aren't as good as my SennMX760s buds.The  M6 were half the price of the 760. But I like the M6's for the isolation and they are better than the Senn CX300's I had previously.

Let me chime in. This is my transportable rig: Zune 30 > ZO v2.0 > D2000

Had to add a 1.8 to 1.4 adapter in, because I have lost the screwable 1.8 to 1.4 adapter way too many times. I need it for my desktop setup.

And then everything fits nicely in my random cheap camera bag, with nice protection etc. The small pouch at the front could even fit couple pairs of IEM... The perfect mini headfi meet bag.

Got this rig up during our Aus Uni break. Planning to use it during uni study periods :)

D2000 + Z0 - not too much bass?

It never gets enough

Just kidding, the ZO is set on the lowest contour, and its more so on bypass mode. Stacked it with the Zune for the gr07 or the tf10 really.

I'm noticing a lot of people double amping here. I am still in a weird place about double amping. I don't feel like I know what I'm doing or if it's quite right. I currently have a PA2V2  and it used to run between my Clip+ (Rockboxed) and my Pro 900 (32 ohms). Does it screw up the frequency response, create distortion, etc?

IMO - A bad amp would. A good amp would not. Provided your source is relatively clean - as any flaws in it will be amplified as well, so keep eq'ing to a minimum (or subtractive) to avoid over-modulation distortion.

yea actually ive always wondered about double amping, but i use a lod on my ipod so its chill. i just assumed that double amping is bad like from laptop to another amp to headphone but i have no idea. im wondering if someone can drop some tech knowledge and teach us all something new :)

would it be like adding in series which would  add the voltage? idk lol.

I know *of* the pa2v2 - but I've not seen many of them, and I didn't recall the transparent face plate. :)
