pics of Grado travel cases?

I recently bought two cases and can attest that 1) they fit my MS-2i with bowls and SR200 with flats fine although the cable needs to be looped around to fit and that 2) they are almost exactly like the Bose QC2 cases, which I had "borrowed" to fit my Grados in before.

The group buy is still collecting for the case as 'group buy' policies have not been decided on by the Head-Fi boss(es) so until then we can't do anything more.

I just grabbed this off ebay, after being inspired by the wood humidor style case with the handle installed.

This will be for my ms2i, the only concern ihave is that it might not be tall enough, since it says 2 and 1/8 " tall not sure if thats inner volume or outer, probablly outer.

The cans themselves are about an " with out the pads on, and with the pads on, and fully uncompressed, they are about 1 3/4" thick

I think it will be a snug fit, the stock grado foam might not wit, though i'm looking into cutting a similar outline for the cans like in stock box, without the annoying middle piece epigolotis thing to go inside. The upholestry lining/packing stuff i found here might do the trick, i'll wait until it arrives b4 i order foam ; ) I hope i can remove the wood inside there and get some more room.

I don't think it will be too hard to cut the foam the way i like...

What do you guys think?

i like it for home use but it seems a little too fancy and akward for real portable use (unless it was to saftly store your headphones like on a plane or during shipping) but i dont think i like it as much as the semihard one if i was in a hurry, with the Semihard one i can just toss it into my bag an be off. very classy though

as for the one in the group buy... count me in if this goes anywhere
