Philips SHE3580 IEM review--how can something sound so good for $10???

Anyone compared these to the Panasonic RPHJE355K's?

Having both the 3590 and the 355, I can say that the 3590 are preferable, but sound different, which makes the Panasonics good in their own right. The 355 are quite balanced tonally whereas the 3590 have a much more prominent V shaped sound signature, a punchier, more lively and fun sound with much deeper sub bass extension. It complements most music genres well. The 355 does not quite have the same "fun" but detailed sound as the Philips. I'd get the Panasonics if you're looking for a balanced dynamic driver at a budget price. If you're looking for a more "fun" and powerful sound, the Philips are the clear winners.

How is sound stage compared to the other generally recommended lower priced IEMs (Sony MH1c, JVC fx40, Monoprice 8320, etc.)? Any issue with fakes for these (probably not given the price)? http://www.ebay.ca/itm/PHILIPS-IN-SHE3580-2-3-4-IN-EAR-SPORT-BASS-HEADPHONE-MULTICOLOR?item=221096693722&cmd=ViewItem The one's I can find on Amazon.ca are considerably more expensive. Otherwise not sure where else to look for these in Canada.

I will say monoprice 8320 has the widest soundstage, it's really open sounding.

Hi,

I just bought a pair of SHE3590 earphones, and they sound amazing!

However, in the store I chose the purple pair, which I thought looked pretty cool.
When I got home tough I found I didn't like the color At all! I can't return it tough, since I already put them in my ears :)

Do you guys think there's a good way I can change the color of it? (black probably)

I am thinking of trying a pair of these since many are saying the sub bass is good. How low can these go? Can they hit the 27hz note in the bass line of "I Put On" by Jeezy? Or go even lower than that?

According to measurements these peak at 30Hz with very little rolloff down to 20Hz (lower limit of the measurement) with a good seal.

Wow. I think the low note might actually be 28 Hz. Could any owners of these look on youtube for this track and comment on how this note is reproduced, even with the rolloff? (In "I Put On" by Jeezy- I know there's better songs out there but it's a rather decent benchmark for showing audio systems weaknesses)

Hmm, I looked again and I should have said it peaks at 20Hz

This was in the opening post too

It's not absurd, it's outrageous. Perhaps a typo?

God, let's hope he's sending a quantity of 20 for that price.
