  again.. i am no audio expert, but what i hear is that the 3580 sounds better no matter what,  without eqing the 3580 sounds better than de 8320 without eqing.   once you eq the 3580 its sounds even better. i am using Joes Eqing and im loving how these earphones sound. Thanks again Joe!
 
about the highs, i prefer to tone down a little bit the highs of the 3580 beacuse they are to "strong" for me.  once i bought the 3580 and burned them i am not using the 8320 any more.

It seems the MP8320 is either more fit dependent or has more sample variation than the SHE3580.  SHE3580 gets good impressions more consistently while some people give rave reviews for the MP8320 while others go "meh".  ljokerl's opinion of them seems to change by the day so we'll just have to wait for him to finish the review of it.

thats the reason i am buying a second pair of 8320.  "just in case" mines are some variation. i have buyed a bunch of tips and the sounds is OK but nothing to rave about.

That's the beauty of it - you should be able to buy them almost anywhere, assuming you dont want to go online. I live in a one-horse town - 7000 people - and the SHE3580 is readily available. I bought mine at a Target store - you should be able to find them at virtually any department or electronics store that stocks headphones. The key is the incredibly low price - if Phillips had priced these at $30, chances are they wouldnt be sitting next to stuff like Liquid Ears.

Well, my humble pie buffet continues and I'm really hoping a driver will die soon so I dont have to make an even bigger fool of myself as the weeks progress and I have to admit that even some of the nuttier posts in this thread may not be as nutty as I had earlier suggested. These are the phones which, after over 6 months of side-by-side comparisons between my Fiio E9 and my EHP-02 finally put one of the amps in a draw. Permanently. 
 
For those thinking 'These dont need an amp !', I agree, but what they are is reasonably flat - flatter, at any rate, than my Grado or A-T cans. They also made me accept that the euphonic warmth which the E9 was wrapping around some of my more strident tracks - either lower bitrate or poorly produced - was at the expensive of some bass bloat and loss of clarity. I have been a strong supporter of the E9 since I first bought mine, and I still think its awesome BFYB for those trying to drive bigger cans, but for my current needs the EHP-O2 is simply more accurate. Do I need either with the Phillips ? No, I dont, but I'm the kind of perverse freak who will happily plug cheap IEMs into anything I can lay my hands on - what is the worst that can happen ? Industrial deafness - OK - but other than that ? 
 
I don't want any of the above to be seen as an endorsement for the Objective2 as the 'greatest amp eva !' - if it is, I'm going to be wasting a hell of a lot of money on the Headamp GS-X when that blessed day finally arrives. Like the SHE3580, I see the O2 as one of those products that you stare at and think 'Whoa - how can something this good cost so little money ?', but that doesnt automatically mean everything else is wildly overpriced crap. If the world was that simple, we'd all be driving around in Suzuki hatchbacks laughing at people in BMWs. 
 
Even if that driver does go out tomorrow, these phones were worth every penny I paid for them. Bravo, Phillips, bravo - now how about building some fullsize cans with the same BFB strategy ?

3580 was the direct successor to the 3570 while the 3590 is the direct successor to the 3580.  Someone wrote Philips and was told that the 3570 and 3580 are identical soundwise.  Now, the 3580 had different coloured bodies and translucent tips in place of 3570's coloured ones.  The 3590 just has slightly different body colours, even the tips are the same as before.  I'd bet 2 of my 3580s the 3590s sound exactly the same...

I've seen at least 4 different Phillips Music Colors earphones around. Do they all provide the same SQ or are some different? Personally, I own a pair of SHE3682s.

I own a pair of 3682 too.  Well the last digit in the model number just indicates the color, so any models with the same first three digits will definitely sound the same.  As for the 368x, they have a bit less bass and treble than the 358x, which may be a good thing since the 3580 are V-shaped.
