I'm skeptical about this one, as it looks like they changed nothing from the X1, except the color scheme. If Philips STILL hasn't addressed the pads being non-removable after ALL the complaints everywhere online, then they don't deserve a penny.

Those new drivers better give eargasms upon first listen at that ridiculously high price.

Well, if the X1 got the love the L1 got in the L2... the X2 will easily be some of the best cans. At any price range.

Well, that's a relief. At least it follows the Fidelio L1 to L2 trend. I hope they have removable earpads now...

For me, if they have only little change in sound signature, I actually would still prefer X1 because of looks (silver + black + brown looks better imho). And X2 price will hopefully bring down X1 price.

Amazon had it for $220 for a while. Then it settled at $232 for even longer.

Philips really only need to do 2 things on the X2.
 
- Removable earpads.
- Tighten the bass just a little more.
 
Just 2 very simple things and they'll have one of the best $300 headphone ever (and if the trend follows, near $200 rather).

The treble is still grainy and needs to be cleaned up. Although I bet there are people who don't agree with that.
