Oh a and can anyone recommend a nice hard case for these? :o2smile:
I use this for my X2. I just took the foam out and replaced it with micro fibre cloth.

Are the pads glued down or did they just pop out of the care?

Are those worth buying nowadays?

It’s not like an iPhone or gaming video card. Dynamic drivers have changed very little in 100 years. The X2 was great 5 years ago, and it’s still great today. If you can buy it below $200, jump on it. I was lucky enough to get mine for $150.

Okay after breaking these bad boys in for a while
I can safely say these are completely awesome.
Sound is amazing for what I listen to (a mixture of most things, but to name a few specific artists and bands, Perturbator, Scattle, Metalica, Earth Wind and Fire, Marty O'Donnell)
Can wholeheartedly recommend these, especially for people just getting into fancier audio.
