From the Schiit Audio website:

"So what’s the difference between Magni 2 and Magni 2 Uber?
Lots of things. Let’s break it down:

Preamp Outputs: Uber has them, standard doesn’t.
Gain Stage: Uber has a complementary-input VAS, standard doesn’t.
Power Supply: Uber has 3x the transformer (24VA vs 8VA) and 1.6x the filter capacitance (6,400 vs 4,000uF), as well as more sophisticated regulators (programmable vs fixed) and a higher rail voltage (+/-16V vs +/-15V)
Chassis: Uber gets an aluminum top cover and solid aluminum milled knob, standard is painted steel and an aluminum-covered plastic knob."

Most of that is foreign language to me honestly...lol...I got it for the preamp. Rest is just bonus I guess...haha

Isn’t this just a trick to get us to buy a Magni Uber for $50 more?
Um, no. If you don’t need preamp outputs, you’re gonna be plenty happy with Magni 2, no matter what headphones you use. It’s probably the only amp anyone really needs, but because we don’t live in a regime where the Headphone Amp Commissar decides what headphone amp you’re going to get, we have a lot more choices as well.

found this on the us homepage, i think the bit of Akuminium isn´t worth the extra charge, because i don´t need more power or preamp.

or, you know, listen to PocketSmiley's version, which has super duper treble and mids emphasis (you can download them in FLAC too, so no 192 kbps youtube audio):

ugh, it's like a bass massage for your ears >.<

I downloaded that file from that page and when I play it everything is really low when the bass is going, which is 95% of the song.  But on some parts where the bass isn't on everything comes back to normal levels.  Is it supposed to be like that?

Yeah, it's the same for me.
Pretty sure it's supposed to be like that.

How long have you had them? I had some issues at first but with use they smoothed out. I use the Magni which is a great little amp but my X2's were not having issues any longer by the time I got the amp. If they are new, give them some time. 10+ hours and they should get better. If they have a bunch of hours on them and you're having problems...I don't know.

Can someone who has the x2 and lcd2.2 compare the bass? I've owned the lcd2 before but it's been a while. I would certainly expect the lcd2 to be the better performer but I think that the x2 is very competitive.

I have both right now. LCD2.2 bass is more extended, detailed, controlled and impactful.

The LCD2 trumps the X2 on bass, no contest. AT least pre-fazor. I'm skeptical on how good the fazor LCD2 is on bass and mids compared to the old ones.

I got one of the very first pair of fazor version lcd2.2 that Audeze rolled out secretly. The bass was very disappointing TBH. I had borrowed a pair of pre-fazor and was looking for that same deep extended bass...I didn't get it with the fazor version. The x2 has better bass IMO based off memory.

Speaking about differences, what about the bass between hd600 and x2, quantity and quality wise???

I have a friend who upgraded his hd600 for the x2 based on my recommendation. We had a mini meet at his house this weekend. He said many times that he could be happier with the bass on the x2. He loves the hd600 but always wanted better texture and slam. With the x2, he says that he finally has what he's wanted.
