Tonight pairing X2 with an AudioMinor cryoed copper cable and on the DV336SE side, using Shuguang 6n8p (6sn7) tube on the front and RCA 1952 48th week produced military (sac: strategic air command) 6As7G tube on the back, I am in tears while listening to Pavarotti Ti Adoro "Gladiator"..................

Should be getting mine tomorrow! Hopefully...

Edit: They have arrived! Very first impressions are that they sound like a fun, warm, bassier and "fuller" sounding AKG Q701.

Yep

Got the X2's today. Bass is tighter than X1. The whole sound is more balanced and refined but I'm sad to say that the clamping force is a little to strong and headband is now huge. I still prefer the warmth of the X1's even though the sound isn't has refined but to my ears more fun. Will leave the X2's running for a few days to see if anything changes from my first impression.

My only nitpicks so far is that the fuzzy pads can cause me to itch the side of my head but hopefully that'll be reduced through normal wear and the adjustable headband doesn't seem to have much tension on it so the earcups will slowly drop and land on the top of my ears so I re-adjust them a lot.

What size baseball cap do you wear?

I'd like to see more people post their head sizes when mentioned aspects of the headband/clamp forces. Gives an idea for what others to expect. Thanks.

Anyone find the x2 being too heavy at all?
382 grams seems like a lot/

If the X1s are any indication of the X2s, they are deceptively light and you barely notice them on.

I was at first concerned with the X1s I think at 430 g IIRC, but they felt lighter than M50s to be honest.

Speaks volumes for its comfort and with the X2 being even lighter, I'm excited to have them on my head soon.

Coming from HD558's and DT990's I didn't notice the weight what so ever at first with the X1's. However, after a 3 hour gaming session my neck was starting to fatigue. Which never happened with the other two headphones. X2's are supposed to be lighter and am looking very forward to that!
