Just listen to the beautiful music you like on your X1s and focus on that, don't be an audiofool

I'm on the cusp of buying these - I'm mostly using these to play games/sim with the odd movie or show to watch.

BUT

I'm worried about the open design.I want an open design so that I can hear my better half trying to get my attention (especially as I plan on getting an oculus rift...).  How loud is the sound leakage? Is it enough to annoy someone sitting 5-10 meters away at moderate volume?

Wearing these in combination with the oculus rift, you'll no longer have to worry about a better half.  You're free to enjoy the X1!

Is it normal that drivers are bent about 15 degrees with respect to pads?

The X1 has angled drivers, so yeah - it's intentionally part of the design.

Picked a pair up from Amazon on a whim because I have no open air cans.

I'm hoping they will give me a reason to take off my D7000's, but idk.  Are there any genres that we feel it will do better than those or my Doggie Pads?

Just squeaked into the Amazon Gold Deal. 150 for these sounds pretty good. I already have a Q701 + 172HD. Should be a nice change until i get the mighty HE-400

Pretty good? Friggin amazing more like it. Congrats!
