Well I just got a pair of M50's this Christmas and now they have me wanting to replace my old hd555's. I've modded and played around with the senns but I just want something thats, well, better. I've been looking at the dt990/250 and 600, and the hd600. I've searched a ton around on here, but I didn't find as many threads comparing the dt990 to the hd600 (it was more to the 650).
My question is, will the dt990 with it's bass be anything like that of the M50's? I have looked at frequency response graphs and the 990's have louder sub bass it appears. I do like my hd555's for jazz and classical music but I just can't stand them for rock and any other genres practically. Can someone with these headphones try to give me a comparison in sound between the dt990's, hd600, and m50's (if they are comparable at all haha).
Oh, and would a stereo a/v receiver be able to power the dt990/600 fine? I don't have any other amp right now than my Denon DRA-37 :/.
