I'll bite, what did hi fi cables in the UK charge you for this PSU, and how much to ship it to the states?

@zenpunk yes driving my Meridian 203 DAC. Nice DAC, but what, 20 yr old technology? I'd like to insert a current technology DAC in the system to A/B that difference. Was just on Audiogon reading about a cullin modified PS Audio DAC.

As for price, £136.00 which included DHL shipping from UK to USA.

In order for the ipod to firmly lay in the cradle it must be without any case.

You could always get an extension so you do not have to remove the iPod from its case. Several options are available.

The Fubar allows me usb, coaxial and optical.

not really anymore, i dont know any coax that can match my current usb input that puts out 4 x 32bit/384khz, or 8 x 32bit/192khz, has 3 separate clocks including a dedicated isolated ocxo for the usb clock and 22/24 for the audio data. coax is great for normal options, but its being left behind

Okay almost always. Yours is a cutting-edge, unusual case. USB definitely has a lot of potential, so does Firewire but this definitely doesn't apply to the ND-S1 going into the Fubar. Are you using a software driver?

not really, you watch in the next 3-6 months there will be a number of improved usb implementations hitting the market. probably none quite in this no holds barred class, as there isnt another one like it (sorry cant talk about it yet, i'm giving feedback on a prerelease board) but there are a number of diycentric products based on a similar but lower end chipset being made available at the moment. the one i have is the only one that is driverless, at least on mac it is, it complies with the usb 2.0 audio codec.
 
basically we are starting to see that potential that usb always had being unleashed. then of course we will have usb 3.0 and thunderbolt/lightpeak to take it another step. firewire is very good, but as a standard its dead in the water imo, anyone developing high end products for firewire, will have already started to move towards thunderbolt

So you're saying that these USB products will be mainstream in 3-6 months, meaning they're not even on the market yet, but they're not cutting edge 

 
As there is not much out there like that now it would also have to be considered unusual, so I'm not sure what you mean when you say not really.
