Onkyo ND-S1 iPod dock

Has anyone used this device with a streaming service like Spotify or Deezer? there seems to be a lot of static coming through like digital dropouts in the stream even when in local model so playing of the hard drive ostensibly...

I use Sky.fm and TuneIn radio and never have any static. I am using a custom power supply though.

Hi Guys,

Just like with the Wadia iTransport, the Onkyo ND-S1 gives full functionality (full navigation of your music via the click wheel, etc.) starting with 6th gen iPods. Seems to work fine with the "iPod classic", iPhone, iPod Touch, newer Nanos, etc.

Older gen iPods (e.g. 5g/5.5g iPod Video) is limited with the Wadia and ND-S1, as MarkJnK mentioned above.

Is there a difference in pins that renders the 5G/5.5 or previous models limited? I wonder if swapping the pin, which involves opening the ipod etc. Or is it the motherboard? I wonder if there's information out there.
