  Hi Everyone,

Long time lurker, first time poster.  I'm wondering if anybody has a solution to the problem I having.

I presently have 2 x 200GB micro SD cards mounted to my DPX1.  I'm using iSyncr to sync my device to iTunes.  With iSyncr you're required to select the storage option you want to sync to, internal, SD card 1, or SD card 2.

Because of that I'm limited to keeping my synced iTunes library under 200 GB.

Ideally I want to sync my iTunes library and utilize all of my storage at the same time.

any advice?

Here's what I did to work around that, first of all I've used an info field in iTunes (for instance, you could use "Grouping" or any other field) to roughly Group my Music into different Genres, so I have Rock, Hip-Hop, Electronica, Pop, etc. etc. .
Next, I created 3 smart Playlists, calling them "internal storage", "sd card 1" and "sd card 2". I then did some math and combined the Music Genres in a way that I get to like 160GB or so for the SD Cards, so I have for instance all my Metal, Podcasts and Audiobooks in the "SD Card 1" Smart Playlist. All I did for this was go to the "SD Card 1" smart playlist and choose "Grouping is (Metal, Podcast, Audiobook)".
This method allows you to see the size of Music Groups combined together in that smart playlist when you view the smart playlist (status bar at the bottom), so you can find out how to combine the Music Groupings to fit them on your SD Cards and the internal storage.
If you now have 1 Smart Playlist "SD Card 1" with 160GB music in it, 1 Smart Playlist "SD Card 2" with for instance 150 GB in it, and so on, you can connect your Dp-X1, go to the Taskbar, right click the iSyncr symbol and start selecting the different storage options and just sync the corresponding smart playlist to it.

I hope this helps and that I didnt explain it too complicated haha.

Onkyo currently has a 10% WinterSale promotion for the new DP-X1A on amazon.co.jp - where if purchased from abroad, the price for order checkout is 62.222 JPY minus the 10% discount, which is 56,000 JPY (=$475). Shipping and hanling fees to US/Canada are only 1275 (=$10.82). I grabbed one right away.

Amazon.co.jp wouldn't let me order the Onkyo from the US but it let me order the Pioneer XDP-300R for $433 after the 10% discount and shipping.

And also I just want to know these things :grinning:
1.) in-line remote?
2.) Replaygain?
3.) Which android music player app is the best?
:grinning:

For controlling the DP-X1 - I have verified that neither iPhone nor Android wired remote controls (4-pole 3.5mm connectors) will control the DP-X1 (Volume/Play/Pause/Fwd/Rev).  The interesting thing is - using my Trinity Audio Bluetooth Lanyard (w/Apt-X & MMCX connectors), I can control Play/Pause/Skip in Spotify (haven't tried any other audio apps). The Volume controls on the Lanyard adjust the built-in Amp - but don't change the settings on the DAP.

My DP-X1 is installed in a ZZOZZ case, with a flap that is held closed with magnets, to protect the screen -

Just got a dpx1 and im hoping to get some input. Ive got one of the units with wiggly sockets. I'm a bit surprised the 3.5mm jack makes a small clicking noise. But whats kind of odd is the 3.5mm jack has almost no resistance to hilding the plug in. Barely pulling on the cable pops the jack out. Anyone have this experience?

Hi everyone,
Just one quick question as I don't seem to find this anywhere..
Can you connect the Onkyo dp-x1 to the chord mojo plus its accessory pack?
The size of the mojo plus its extra module would be really helpful for carrying purposes.
Would it be possible or has anyone tried it already?
Thanks for the feedback guys!
