Does anyone here know that Opus 2 is using dual 9018k2m as DP-x1 but priced 2x as much ? I am surprised that no one is showing interests

i have heard about opus#2. i am former user of opus1 , albeit the really good sq for that price, the sound signature just doesn't fit my preference it just doesnt feel energetic and too smooth for me, and from several source i read and people asked it seems opus#2 have even more smoother sound that opus #1 so i instantly pass on that

So is this a good all around player with DLNA and wifi? I have pretty much researched every mid to high end DAP with wifi and it seems they all suck with wifi and have dropouts and stuttering playback. I have a DLNA server in my have with tons of lossless and 24bit 96k audio on it and I'd use this player primarily foDLNA and Tidal playback. So it would need to have very fast and very stable wifi

Just got a dpx1 and im hoping to get some input. Ive got one of the units with wiggly sockets. I'm a bit surprised the 3.5mm jack makes a small clicking noise. But whats kind of odd is the 3.5mm jack has almost no resistance to hilding the plug in. Barely pulling on the cable pops the jack out. Anyone have this experience?

Is that a dpx1 or dpx1a?

Opus 2: I don't recall having this impressions out of the box from dP-x1 :D. Can't believe it is using dual DAC the same as dp-x1

Out of the box impressions: if you love ESS Sabres sound signature, but want more micro-energies variations, flows and fluidity, you are looking at a good directions :D

This was my review on dp-x1 a while ago. If anyone found agreements with it, you will be looking for something like this ?

I will have proper review and impresssions soon in opus 2 thread

I tried the Opus #2. Only tried T8ie MKII, and comparing with DP-X1A they are very close. The opus 2 seema to have a very little more bloat in the bass and a little harder. To me I perceived it as less detailed in the bass compared to DP-X1A.

But the mids and highs are extremely similar. No matter how hard I try to perceive any difference by going back and fort between the 2 playing the same song at the same time I really can't find any concrete perception of difference.

I only compared the balanced output between the 2. DP-X1 though seems to have more power than the opus.

Yeah, having skimmed the information, no DAP handles wifi useful when it is high res streming right?  If so, why is that. Isn't it possible to stream fast enough when delivering sound is the next step in the process?  I'd consider this DAP if some could proof me wrong?
