Yes, it's beautifully made. Very tight fit though and SD slots are covered. My trick to remove DAP is to push from below with a pencil terminated with a rubber (or should this be eraser in "American"? Please do not use a contraceptive device for this purpose!)

Does the noise floor situation improve if you use balanced? I get lots of break up with softer piano music during quiet sections, I get this with most amps aside from my Mojo.

I was looking to that too. But still not found.  I know it can be controlled with the bluetooth remote that come with the sony wm1a. Someone tested it works fine. Sony sell it separately too.

They are lauching the app called "onkyo dapcontroller". It's exclusively for the mini brother dp-s1 aka rubato at this moment. Hopefully they will extend it to the big brother.

Does the Dpx1a sound the same as the dpx1? or is better audio quality? I have the fiio x5III and like it so far it definitely has good sound quality and once firmware is worked out it is a good price to performance purchase. But if the dpx1 I can get for around the same price open box, and that is why I asked if the two, dpx1a and dpx1(original), sounded the same more or less as far as sound quality?
