does anyone have a guide for installing the  DPA-GL033?

I got mine, but i don't know what the white sticker thing is for? also why is only one side of the screen protector have a peel off plastic piece on it?

I don't believe there is a guide. So here is DrGonzo's guide:

Before we start, a little preamble. The white sticker, I believe, is for removing lint/dust from the screen; apply and pull off all over the screen. I did not need this as I ordered the screen protector and device about the same time and waited to take off the protective film off my DP-X1 until the screen protector arrived. So basically I removed the protective film and applied the screen protector in successive steps eliminating any chances of the screen welcoming any dust/lint.
Tempered glass protectors are a lot more durable and scratch resistant than traditional protective films, hence usually don't require additional protective film, so the film that you will remove on the tempered glass protects the adhesive property that allows the glass protector adhere to the screen of your device.

Here are my steps:
1) install in bathroom after getting it steamy by running hot shower until the room becomes completely steamy. Then allow the steam to settle, which will absorb dust in the air causing the dust to settle to the ground.
2) Make sure there are absolutely no dust on the screen (the shower technique is very helpful in eliminating dust) by using the supplied sticky plastic or wipe with the supplied wipe. I did not have to do this step,as stated earlier, I simply removed the protective film that was applied during the manufacturing process and immediately installed the tempered glass protector.
3) Remove the film from the glass protector (this is the side that will adhere to the device screen) and careful not to touch this side. Tip: I used a suction cup to hold the glass protector.
4) Carefully align the glass to the device screen and gently push down on the middle and watch the tempered glass protector adhere itself to the screen of your device.
5) You are DONE! You will notice that installing glass protectors are a lot easier to install than traditional protective films.

Since electing to seek-out information regarding the Onkyo DP-X1 last week, I have been attempting, since last weekend, to contact someone/anyone(?) at Moon Audio, located in Cary, North Carolina, USA, regarding the DP-X1, as I too live on the east coast of the U.S.A....and noted that Moon Audio lists the Onkyo DAP as one of their products in stock.  Today, I even left a telephone message on Drew Baird's official Moon Audio site, again expressing my interest the unit, and have yet to receive any response.

Has anyone else been successful in contacting Moon Audio, about the DP-X1, (or any other product very recently?)...I would prefer to purchase this unit from an actual brick and mortar entity if at all possible, (even though it might cost me a bit more), because I like the idea that if there IS a problem with a product, they are perhaps more likely to be responsive to my concerns.

Is there a major audio show somewhere at which Drew might be presenting products?..., However, even if that is so, would there be another employee to respond to my inquiries...?

  Thank you for your input.

I appreciate the link. Unfortunately, out of my price range for an adapter.

BTW, your website doesn't display very well on mobile. I got a dark bar over the right half of the screen, and text was completely cropped off of I viewed it horizontally.

No worries.

Thanks for pointing that out. If you can't view well on mobile, we recommend viewing the site on tablet or desktop.

Thank you DrGonzo...I look forward to hearing from him...I would REALLY rather buy at least semi-locally...should Drew/Moon Audio fully endorse the DP-X1 as a reliable and reasonably fully "trouble-shot" product...

I am just not sure if the various expressed concerns regarding the unit's issues, (limited battery life, E.Q. scaling, play-list playing issues, etc.), are more user-learning curve issues, or growing pains that Onkyo must work through with their DAP...though, if I DO purchase this unit, I would then have to hope that improvements/fixes(?) could be made via downloadable soft/firmware...

It happened... I thought I was immune... one of the lucky ones... but no... it happened to me too... just like Game of Thrones... no one is safe.

My 2.5mm jack is wiggling out of my unit. Don't understand, the DPX1 is a perfectly happy place for a 2.5mm jack. Don't know why it's trying to escape.

Now to search back through 656 pages to figure out how to fix this.

Cant you send it back for a replacement? This way you're assured a new improved revision.

Thanks for suggesting it. I got it from one of the distributors in Japan and I think I read that they only fix the unit and not replace it.

At any rate, to be honest, the thought of waiting while it travels all the way to Japan and back and through customs makes me sad. I just got Viper4Android working on it, and with Tidal, it's been a dream.

It's at the loose stage right now and I just found the posts about acrylic? I'm thinking I'm going to try this.

Cool!
Just so you know I used clear Epoxy industrial strength and its rock solid. I have the luxury of using a Microscope at work and used a toothpick to fill the gaps little by little.

Hi guys, well, when I pulled out my 2.5 plug the outer metal/plastic guard ring came out with it. I agree with others. I'm going to avoid superglue.

I have epoxy and gorilla glue on hand. I'm thinking of the gorilla glue because at this point I'm not just filling gap. The plastic housing broke off with the metal ring. Looking at it, honestly, I'm surprised it lasted this long. Do you think that the gorilla glue is not a good idea and I should still stick with epoxy?

  Dear bryant4pres:

Not sure exactly the meaning of YOUR response, "SO helpful, thanks dude!!" however, if I hit the wrong button when making a general inquiry, my sincere apologies if I stepped on your toes regarding YOUR inquiry...

I've had him respond to me on a Sunday less than 24 hours after emailing him.  His wife also got back to me in about a day when, I assume, he was busy.
