i think it's pretty good competitor in current market here , of course 240SS got better Clarity and totally black background but i think they are aiming at different target here.
Balanced out provide pretty noticeable improvement imo , especially with darker earphones.

For sure, and as is always mentioned, the price difference with the 240SS is substantial to say the least which I think would lead any reasonable person to feel that the DP-X1 is by far and away the better purchase when performance to value is factored in.

If you use DP-X! as transport for Mojo, do yourself a favor and kill DSP in the player options. It makes nigh and day difference is staging and definition. The digital filter and lock might do wonders with the internal DACs but it looks like is bugging the USB output. If you toggle on/off, give it a few seconds to let the buffer empty before making any judgements.

I have also found that Mojo is the best way to preserve DP-X1's audio output ports. Gap issues gone!  :)

How are you like those shures with the onkyo? I'm looking for a decent pair of iems that don't cost $1000+

I have the Shure SE535 and I personally ended up looking else where to satisfy my needs. The SE535's are quite good but I just found them lacking.

I have since purchased
1. Echobox Finder X1 $199 these are my personal favourites but not to everyones tastes,
2. RHA T20 £150.00
3. ACS Custom CIEM's £700

I am not a bass head but I do like my bass detailed and powerful which all 3 headphones above provide.

I have been meaning to try Flare Audio R2 IEM's wih the R2ASS and R2PRO on my hitlist. Just waiting for the discounted price on Amazon (often are sold at about 50% off)

Anyone figured out to show the battery percentage on the DAP without pulling down the settings screen further? The normal android function (hold settings for 5 seconds) is not unlocking the UI option.

Its Android, there are multiple apps available on the Play Store which will provide a battery % indicator on the notification bar.
A simple example - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.smalltech.battery.free

I'm currently making a balanced cable for my OPPO pm-1 and pm-3.
Looking for a place to buy a trrs cable for my Shure 535

Linum do a balanced cable for the SE535 I purchased mine for Custom Cable

Actually it is okay if you get Shure SE535 for less than $500 (I got mine used $300). But if you are replacing the stock cable with custom made and comply tips it will bring you to the next level especially the balanced cable IMO. The cable as a whole cost me $400.

I'm not sure what country you are in, so I hope this doesn't sound like I'm being a jerk, but the SanDisk has been $80 for weeks and dropped to $60 about a week ago. Regardless, I'm grateful for more competition though, let's bring those prices down!!!

The Lexar is faster than the SanDisk. I'm glad I got the SanDisk at the price I did, I was able consolodate my 128 and 64 and still have room to spare.
