ysyung , others have mentioned where Sound Quality drops? Stability verse SQ? Do you know what the issues were? The only issues I've had are OTG being interrupted frequently. Otherwise stable.
one person saying sound quality inferior, another saying its better!
Actually, have seen only one positive so far and multiple negative.....

I wonder if that was a real ad? Seems like it is too good to be true. Was the seller a long time seller with years worth of feedback? I'm just curious.
The seller is SanDisk.
These have been steadily dropping in price over time.
Everyone,
I updated my player today to the latest firmware and I can't help but experience a palpable drop in sound quality; the soundstage has collapsed inwards and details that were previously obvious now have a haze over them to my ears. I am going to meet a friend who has an un-updated player to do some comparisons over dinner later. Would be great to hear others' experience, be they corroborative or otherwise.
EDIT: confirmed in A/B testing, sigh. Volume matched comparison with the same song file
I haven't tried the SE yet, but for me the balance out (ACG) is quite better.
Testing SE output ACG is much better especially more details on instruments. Will test on balanced output later on since impact audio cables for SE535 will arrive today (might need time for cable break-in).
Ignore, just checked it is from sandisk direct I think. Almost bought it, but I don't need that much space for portable use. Great deal for those who do mind you.
I thought ACG was only active in balanced mode?
