Something similar might have happened to me, but mine was X1.
I was listening and realize the battery was at 30%, so I shut it down and charged it. It showed the charging indicator on screen so i left it. When I tried to turn it on again, I faces similar case with you. I already tried charging with several charger but nothing worked. Luckily the warranty was still active, so I sent mine to Japan for repair.
I hope yours will be back to work again.

Who's the winner? Ive been thinking about the AK70Mk2 for the power they say 4volts which is huge for a DAP.

All on balanced, the tested IEM is ath-e40, I will say they are on par with different sound signature.

AK70ii - sounds like a 240/380 , big improvement from its gen I. Strange to find out its SE is quite close in SQ to balanced. I think this is a big advantage for those 3.5mm IEM.

ZX300 - I think it is more lively than wm1a with more bass and warmth for vocal. But sound stage is smaller than wm1a and dpx1.

Just returned my DP-X1A. 2.5mm jack became loose in less than one month. I really liked its tonality though, especially with the balanced output.

After 3 months my 2.5mm socket got loose, basically unusable atm. Back on 3.5mm... hate this quality degradation. :/
Any chance to repair the player (X1A) in EU?

Did you buy your DP-X1A from an EU retailer? Do they have a service department, or recommend a 3rd Party Service Center?

Otherwise - if the 2.5mm TRRS jack has just come loose, and isn't broken - someone who repairs cellphones & tablets may be able to open the DP-X1A case, and resolder the jack.
If the jack is broken, you may have to find a replacement from someplace like AliExpress, so it can be installed.

ship it to HK there is a shop called Romi Audio it does repair

Even there is no rumor, I think dp-x2 is coming. In Japan, the stock are getting low. It has been one year since dpx1a release.

This is what I'm waiting for while sitting on rubato, do not want to spend money for the DP-X1A again if the new DAP is coming (hopefully)

Just purchase an Audio-technica ath-a900x. It was discontinued in 2015, but luckily I found a new one which is sold in 2017 March. It sounds very nice even from SE on my dp-x1.

I asked about the cost of he Battery Upgrade, and it's HKD$500 (USD$64).
He said he can also do some other internal parts upgrades, as well as adding some shielding.
