@Shanling While testing out Synclink and local folders to help the OP above, I came across an interesting issue.
When I set the XM10 to be a SyncLink server, it renders local files and albums in the SD card and attached HDD beautifully. Even album art is shown. No issues here.
But when I access XP10, by setting source as local source and using SyncLink to access the HDD, despite running music scan a few times (to test out if it is a one-off error, when I access via album view, I get the same listing regardless of which album it is. I have attached two examples below. Different albums as you can tell by the title but it shows the same listing. The first one should be obvious since it is a Seal album but it shows up Chinese tracks.
I don’t think it is Eddict Player at fault since it works seamlessly when I set XM10 as the Synclink Server. It is when I choose XP10 and access the attached HDD that this error occurs in Album view. No issues with directory view.
Thanks!

This can sometimes happen if you are moving between SyncLink libraries on different devices.@Shanling While testing out Synclink and local folders to help the OP above, I came across an interesting issue.

Reset the library in Eddict player app and then initiate the library scan on the XP10.

@Shanling I can find the folder skip option. But where would the “List Play” tab be?Yes, look for "Folder skip" button in settings of the app, turn it Off.
And make sure your playback mode is set to "List Play".
This way playback will stop after you play last file in the folder.
Thanks!

Thanks @Shanling. It works. Playback stops at the end of the last song in the folder and does not skIp over to the following folder.Yes, look for "Folder skip" button in settings of the app, turn it Off.
And make sure your playback mode is set to "List Play".
This way playback will stop after you play last file in the folder.
JUST NOTE that there is also a folder skip button in the XP10 as well under Playback settings. See photo below. You also need to switch that off to turn off skipping to the next folder if you use directory view.
Just noting it here for future users.
@PenguinHeadphoner Seems to work. Not sure which device you are using. But with the ONIX Miracle, it works.

Hi,
@Kiats : a huge thank you for trying to help.
I reproduced your settings on my Eddict Android app.
Did you retrieve the tracks from a USB stick plugged into the device ?
Or did you get those from a NAS or in any other way ?
I am asking because in your screenshots, I noticed that the artist shows "Unknown".
And if I retrieve files from the EH-3 used as a NAS, that is also what I get.
So maybe it works in the Onix when music is retrieved over DLNA and it works here too.
But it does not work when retrieving music directly from a USB stick with SyncLink...
For me track stops playing at the end of the folder list if you use the EH-3 as a NAS.
But that does not work in SyncLink...
Indeed, if the EH-3 I own is accessed with SyncLink, the "Settings" option in Eddict player for Android goes greyed out.
So I assume the choices made there are not taken into consideration by the EH-3 used in SyncLink mode.
Of course, I could use the EH-3 as a DLNA server.
But using it that way is not really convenient.
One MAJOR feature loosed if you do so is : NO WIDGET which works only if using SyncLink.
And you have no Artist tag recognized as mentioned before.
And other things I will not mention here...
Those limitations are probably intentional from the software team/design team.
Because I can't imagine it would be that difficult to add those features to all Shanling devices.
Regards.

That's why there is also the controls on the XP10 dashboard above. Local files to XP10.
I made the changes to settings, as suggested by @Shanling before I invoked SyncLink.

Hi,
Thanks for the clarification.
Then it is working on the Miracle but not on other Shanling devices.
A deliberate option from Shanling I think...

Your EH3 is running different system based on our MTouch. Some features are not 1:1 available between different systems.

Thanks for confirming that it is indeed a deliberate option from Shanling.
Is there hope to see those simple basic features appear on "non Android based" devices from Shanling some day ?
If so, an approximate delay would be appreciated...
Regards.

And to be exact, Folder skip setting is available also on our MTouch players (M0 Pro, M1s, ECmini, SCD1.3).
It's only H line and the EC3/EH3/EC3 that are missing it at this time, as their approach to folder browsing is different than on MTouch players.

OK. But is there an explanation as to why playback stops at the end of last track when using Artist or Album browsing but not when using folder browsing ?
