There's so much...space!  I just....just.....

What does your setup consist of and what are you listening to?

I really would like to demo these things. My local audio guy only has the 600's on hand I think. Or one of the 500 series...but I know he doesn't have the 650. Hopefully he'll get more in.

It's just an E7/E9 USB'd from my iMac to the E9.

The thought that there are cans BETTER than this blows my mind.  Just sayin'....

Do you mean you are impressed by the soundstage?

The soundstage, the separation of the instruments, the granularity of the parts....

I'm sleep deprived, so it's probably even more powerful - but....still...

I'm listening to this song - and there's a whole vocal layer I literally never heard before.

I'm surprised you are so impressed by them using integrated sound, but I guess that makes sense coming from the SR80. . . :)

Doesn't the DAC bypass my iMac's sound card?

Congrats! Glad you're enjoying them. They really are great headphones and one of my favorites. The only reason I let mine go was so I'd have the cash to spring for the LCD-2, which is a nice step up from the HD650s...hint, hint.
